भारत की तेज अनुभवी महिला गेंदबाज झूलन गोस्वामी ने आखिरकार अपने शानदार अंतरराष्ट्रीय करियर पर विराम लगा दिया है। झूलन के लिए यह आखिरी मैच बेहद ही यादगार रहा क्योंकि लॉर्ड्स में खेले गए तीसरे वनडे मुकाबले में भारतीय टीम ने इंग्लैंड को लो स्कोर मैच में 16 रन से हराकर सीरीज में 3-0 से जीत हासिल की।

झूलन के लिए यह वास्तव में एक यादगार दिन था क्योंकि अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट में अपने आखिरी ओवर में उन्होंने केट क्रॉस को आउट किया। झूलन गोस्वामी ने पहले ही घोषणा कर दी थी कि लंदन में भारत बनाम इंग्लैंड मुकाबला उनका विदाई मैच होगा। यही नहीं जब वह पहली पारी में बल्लेबाजी के लिए आई तो तालियों की गड़गड़ाहट के बीच उन्हें गार्ड ऑफ ऑनर दिया गया। न केवल दर्शकों बल्कि इंग्लैंड के खिलाड़ियों ने भी उनको गार्ड ऑफ ऑनर दिया।

झूलन गोस्वामी के लिए यह यादगार दिन रहा

जब झूलन बल्लेबाजी करने आई तो वह क्रीज पर ज्यादा देर टिक नहीं सकी, उन्हें तेज गेंदबाज फ्रेया केम्प ने शून्य पर आउट किया। लेकिन झूलन ने अपने टैली में कुछ और विकेट और लेकर अपने करियर को एक उच्च स्तर पर समाप्त किया।

उन्होंने एलिस कैप्सी और केट क्रॉस का विकेट लिया और अपने 10 ओवरों में सिर्फ 30 रन ही दिए। और इस शानदार स्पैल के साथ उन्होंने अपने अंतरराष्ट्रीय करियर पर विराम लगाया।

झूलन गोस्वामी का करियर

झूलन गोस्वामी ने साल 2002 में इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ चेन्नई में डेब्यू किया था और वह पिछले दो दशकों से भारतीय महिला क्रिकेट की सपोर्ट सिस्टम हैं। उन्होंने 10 विश्व कप में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व किया है। उनके नाम पर 43 स्कैलप के साथ चतुष्कोणीय स्पर्धा में सबसे अधिक विकेट लेने वाली गेंदबाज हैं। उन्होंने भारत के लिए 12 टेस्ट, 203 वनडे और 68 टी-20 मैच खेले हैं, जिसमें झूलन ने क्रमश: 44 टेस्ट विकेट, 253 वनडे विकेट और 56 टी-20 विकेट अपने नाम किए हैं। वह महिला क्रिकेट में सबसे अधिक विकेट लेने वाली गेंदबाज हैं। उन्होंने सभी प्रारूपों को मिलाकर 352 विकेट लिए हैं।
