जोस बटलर के धमाकेदार शतक की मदद से इंडियन टी-20 लीग 2022 के दूसरे क्वालीफायर में राजस्थान ने बैंगलोर को 7 विकेट से हराकर फाइनल में जगह बनाई, जहां उसका सामना गुजरात से होगा। बटलर ने टूर्नामेंट में अपना चौथा शतक पूरा किया। उनके बल्लेबाजी के सामने बैंगलोर द्वारा दिया गया लक्ष्य छोटा साबित हुआ। बटलर ने नाबाद 106 रनों की पारी में 10 चौके और 6 छक्के लगाए। इससे पहले राजस्थान के गेंदबाजों ने बैंगलोर को 157 रन के स्कोर पर सीमित कर दिया।

158 रनों के टारगेट का पीछा करने उतरी राजस्थान ने शुरुआत से ही बैंगलोर के गेंदबाजों पर दबाव बनाया। यशस्वी जायसवाल और जोस बटलर की जोड़ी ने आक्रामक अंदाज में बल्लेबाजी की और 5 ओवर में टीम का स्कोर 61 रन तक पहुंचाया। हालांकि, छठे ओवर में जायसवाल 21 रन बनाकर हेजलवुड का शिकार बने।
बटलर लेकिन नहीं रुके, उन्होंने संजू सैमसन के साथ रन बनाना जारी रखा। दोनों बल्लेबाजों के बीच 52 रनों की साझेदारी हुई। इस दौरान बटलर ने टूर्नामेंट में एक और अर्धशतक पूरा किया। सैमसन ज्यादा देर बटलर का साथ नहीं निभा सके और 21 गेंदों में 23 रन बनाकर आउट हो गए। हालांकि, बटलर ने क्रीज पर खूंटा गाड़े रखा और टीम को जीत दिलाकर ही लौटे।
उन्होंने टूर्नामेंट में अपना चौथा शतक बनाया और नाबाद 106 रनों की पारी खेली। राजस्थान ने 3 विकेट खोकर 18.1 ओवर में लक्ष्य हासिल कर लिया। इस हार के साथ बैंगलोर का एक बार ट्रॉफी जीतने का सपना टूट गया। हेजलवुड को छोड़कर बैंगलोर का कोई गेंदबाज आज लय में नहीं दिखा। हेजलवुड ने 4 ओवर में 23 रन देकर 2 विकेट लिए।
बैंगलोर के लिए एक बार फिर संकटमोचक बने पाटीदार
इससे पहले रजत पाटीदार ने एक बार फिर बैंगलोर के लिए संकटमोचक की भूमिका निभाई। उन्होंने विराट कोहली (7) के जल्द आउट होने के बाद फाफ डु प्लेसिस के साथ मिलकर दूसरे विकेट के लिए 70 रनों की साझेदारी की। 16वें ओवर में आउट होने से पहले पाटीदार ने 42 गेंदों में 58 रन बनाए। वहीं डु प्लेसिस ने 27 गेंदों में 25 रन और मैक्सवेल ने 13 गेंदों में 24 रनों का योगदान दिया। इस प्रकार बैंगलोर ने 20 ओवर में 8 विकेट पर 157 रन बनाए।
राजस्थान की ओर से प्रसिद्ध कृष्णा और ओबेद मैककॉय ने बेहतरीन गेंदबाजी की और बैंगलोर के मजबूत बल्लेबाजी लाइन-अप को सिर्फ 157 रन पर रोक दिया। दोनों गेंदबाजों ने 3-3 विकेट हासिल किए। वहीं बोल्ट और रविचंद्रन अश्विन को 1-1 विकेट मिला। युजवेंद्र चहल को कोई विकेट नहीं मिला।
